Choudhary Zulfkar Ali listens to people’s issues at Swari

Minster for Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Information and Public Relations, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today convened a public grievances redressal camp here at village Swari and listened to the issues of locals.  A large number of local populace and people from adjoining areas attended the camp. On the occasion the participants informed the Minister about various local issues and problems faced by them and also put forth their grievances related to development.District Development Commissioner Rajouri Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, senior functionaries of PDD, PHE, R&B, and other district and sectoral officers were also present on the occasion.The Minster while  giving a patient hearing,  assured the people of every possible help from the administration and speedy redressal of their genuine concerns.He said that the Government has laid special focus on improving living condition in rural areas by providing all amenities at par with towns and cities.  He also listed various projects sanctioned for the overall development of Rajouri District.   

 “Our thrust is on development through connectivity as roads are key to prosperity” he said adding development and maintenance of key roads in the district is being given top priority by the administration.Highlighting the importance of education as an indispensable tool for poverty alleviation, the Minster informed that the Govt is duty bound to ensure education of children in far flung areas. The Minister said that the administration is going to construct 100 buildings in the district  for the government schools lacking accommodation. Responding to the local demand for upgradation of power infrastructure, he said PDD has sanctioned 800 poles and 16 transformers for the area.The Minster further reaffirmed the commitment of the Government for carving a special place for Rajouri District on the Development map. The Minster also said that  he will propose development of  an industrial area in  Swari, which  will create job opportunities for the local youth. Later the Minister laid foundation stone of Sagra Sari Jamola road. The 2.6 km Road project has been taken up under NABARD at an estimated cost of Rs 2.84 crore.
