Chander Prakash Ganga reviews functioning of RD, Education Departments in Samba

The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today chaired a meeting of officials of Rural Development and Education departments and assessed their functioning across various sectors.The Minister took a detailed review of MGNREGA, BADP , SC/ST Tribal sub plan , IHHL , PMAY and other schemes of Rural Development Department.He asked officials to ensure that payments under MGNREGA and other departmental schemes are made as per schedule and liabilities if any are cleared without further delay.He directed officials to devise mechanism so that financial assistance out of his CDF may be provided to deserving families for constructing Individual Household Latrines apart from Swachh Bharat Mission assistance.The Minister also directed ACD Samba to ensure that delimitation of panchayats is adhered to and record pertaining to concerned halqas was   handed over to their new community development blocks as per SRO 171 of Rural Development Department.

It is pertinent to mention that after the continuous perusal of the   Minister, the Panchayats Bari and Badhori have been moved from Vijaypur block to Bari Brahmana Block and panchayat Dabuj  Shahzada, Gurwal , Gudwal A and Gudwal B have been shifted from Ramgarh to Vijaypur block. District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda, ACD Samba Sushil Kumar Attri, DPO Aijaz Qaiser and BDOs were present in the meeting.Later, the Minister also convened a meeting of Education Department in which CEO Samba Rampal Bali and ZEO's of the district participated. He asked officials to ensure that staff rationalization is taken up and sufficient staff is positioned in remote areas of the district.
