DDC launches 'Noor Jeevan ka-Betiyan' magazine

District Development Commissioner, Niraj Kumar, launched 'Noor Jeevan ka- Betiyan' magazine here today.ADC Avny Lavasa, CPO Ashok Khajuria, ACD Om Prakash, PO-DRDA Dr. Jagdish Chander  Mehra, DSWO Rachna Sharma, DIO NIC Anil Sharma, AD Planning Darshan Kumar besides other district officers attended the function.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated the role of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao cell in raising awareness regarding various government schemes being run for the welfare of girl child. He said that the need of the hour is to bring a positive change in the mindset of society towards girls and ' Noor Jeevan Ka Betiyan' campaign is a step forward in this direction, he added.

Earlier, the DSWO briefed the officers about various initiatives taken during awareness campaign ' Noor Jeevan ka - Betiyan'. She said that the weeklong awareness campaign comprising a series of activities carried out under a particular theme.Among others, students of Nari Niketan were also present on the occasion.
