Sham Choudhary reviews functioning of PHE, I&FC Departments

Minister for Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary, today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of PHE and I&FC Departments.Chief Engineer PHE Sushil Aima, Chief Engineer I&FC Rajeev Gandotra, Chief Engineer RTIC HC Jerath, Superintendant Engineers (Hydraulic) Civil, Mechanical Division, besides concerned Executive Engineers attended the meeting.The Minister directed for removal of unauthorized pumps set on Ranbir and Partap Canals so that each agricultural field gets its due share of water. He asked the concerned officials to check illegal discharge of distributaries and removal of garbage from the canals.During the meeting, the Minister was given a detailed briefing about the progress achieved in various works and schemes under the PHE and I&FC sectors during 2016-17.Meanwhile, Sham Choudhary emphasized upon the officers to ensure 100 percent biometric seeding of casual/need basis/contractual workers engaged in the Departments before July 15th.
