DDC Ravinder Kumar chairs DLRC meeting, stresses 100% KCC coverage

The District level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of bankers held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar today informed that 12 to 15 new bank branches would be opened soon in the district to facilitate people of far flung areas.

The meeting was attended by various district officers and bankers from different bank branches of the district.Apart from progress and achievements recorded under various sectors and components, threadbare discussion was held on linking of Adhaar numbers with individual accounts of beneficiaries, cashless transaction, cent percent coverage under Kissan Credit cards, disbursement of loan cases and holding of awareness camps in far flung areas.For inoperative accounts under old age pensions and scholarships of social welfare department, DDC asked the bankers to take up the matter with concerned authorities for undergoing certain alterations in banking guidelines so that the genuine stakeholders do not suffer. He also passed instructions for maximum coverage of loans cases sent through various departments to their respective bank branches.

The DDC also stressed the bankers for bringing all account holders under the ambit of insurance cover schemes like PMJJY, PMSBY, PMMY etc and spread  mass awareness on these important schemes having wider scope and benefit for general public.Instructions were also passed for organizing camps in the schools and colleges so that interested students may be able to reap the benefits of the scheme by availing loans for higher studies.The bankers and officers were also stressed on better synergy while processing loan cases in order to achieve maximum targets enshrined under the scheme. He also asked them to chart out detailed action plan for holding district level and block level camps for the people to reduce their communication gap.Earlier, It was informed in the meeting that up to 31 March 2017, an amount of 1719.99 crore has been recorded in the deposit and 543.11 crore in the advance sector and the CD Ratio of district stood at 31.57%.Later, a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) was also held wherein suggestions from different departments for opening new small scale units were taken out. Further it was informed that 99 beneficiaries have been trained in different entrepreneur skills in RSETI during the quarter.
