World Blood Donor Day-2017 celebrated at Rajouri

To create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation felicitate voluntary blood donors, World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) was celebrated here today under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary at District Hospital Rajouri.Senior Superintendent of Police, Yugal Manhas inaugurated the camp. Abdul Qayoom Mir, AC Defence, Yousaf Choudhary, ASP Rajouri, Dr Mehmood Bajar, Superintendent DH beside members of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Rajouri were among several others present on the occasion.The camp was organised jointly by IRCS Rajouri, Army and Department of Health and Family Welfare Rajouri. 33 units of blood were collected out of which 30 units were donated by Army personnel and 3 units were donated by members of Rajouri Chemists' Association.Thanking the blood donors for their life-saving donations and for creating wider public awareness, the DDC, who is Chairman IRCS Rajouri appreciated the personnel of Army and Rajouri Chemists' Association for donating blood voluntarily.
