Grievances redressal camp held at Laroka

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today impressed upon the officers of different departments to provide services to people at their doorsteps, especially in far off pockets of the district.Addressing locals at village Laroka of Nowshera Sub-Division during a grievances redressal camp today, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to enable villagers to avail maximum benefits from special camps being organised by the administration. He also instructed the sectoral officers of various departments to spread awareness about flagship schemes.Officers of Agriculture and Horticulture were directed to conduct special camps to sensitise farmers about national crop insurance scheme, PMFBY, so that benefits percolate to the targeted beneficiaries in villages during sowing season.SDM Nowshera, CMO, CHO, CAO, Tehsildar Qila Darhal beside former PRI members and villagers from Laroka, Pukharni, Kampla, Lam, Badlooni and Qilla Darhal participated in the camp.During the camp, issues relating to strengthening of education, health and power sectors were raised by the locals and the Deputy Commissioner instructed concerned officers to take requisite measures.

He assured to provide coaching facility to students and asked officers of education department to furnish list of students wishing to join coaching classes. He assured to provide an ambulance to Primary Health Centre Laroka and get repaired the existing ambulance.Expressing concern over several uncovered hamlets in electrified villages, Dr. Shahid instructed officers of PDD for re-assessment of electrified villages so that uncovered hamlets are provided power supply.Several other issues relating to upgradation of schools, construction of bunkers for villagers residing near LoC, shortage of staff in health institutions, water and power supply, veterinary centre, improvement of roads, holding of Aadhaar enrollment camps were also raised by the villagers. The Deputy Commissioner passed on necessary instructions to concerned officers and assured the villagers to redress their genuine grievances expeditiously.During the camp, resource persons from various departments sensitised the villagers regarding Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, DDUGJY, PMFBY, SBM, MGNREGA, PMAY, MIDH and other State and Centrally Sponsored Welfare Schemes.As part of district administration's outreach programme, Revenue and grievances redressal camps are being organised in different tehsils of the district.
