The residents of Baderwah area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district are up in arms against the authorities for ‘failing to macadamize the Banni Disoli road’. Accusing the authorities of ignoring their plights, the residents here have demanded immediate redressal of their grievances.The residents told KNS that the authorities have failed to macadamize the Banni Disoli road, which has resulted in the immense hardships to the commuters.“The commuters have been left to face hardships while the authorities do not even bother to look into their sufferings of people,” Syed Liyaqat Ali, one among the residents said.He said that the road has been constructed in the year1977 but since then, the authorities have failed to macadamize it. “The official apathy has forced the commuters as well the residents to face hardships,” he said.Ali said that the dust on the roads has caused health problems to the inhabitants here.The inhabitants said that they approached to the higher ups several times so far but unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard. “Despite assurances by the authorities, the department has failed to take measures to macadamize the main road,” they added.The residents later appealed to the higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest so that the people especially commuters here could feel a sigh of relief.
