Health Minister Orders Private hospital to divert Mr. Aulakhs’ Medical Expenses to the state government

Taking serious note of the media report pertaining to the bill put up by the private hospital for the treatment of noted Punjabi Playwright Ajmer Singh Aulakh, the health and family welfare minister Braham Mohindra asked the hospital authorities to divert the bill for payment to the Punjab Government.Disclosing this in a press communiqué, a Health Minister said that the Punjab government has already announced that the medical expenses of the ailing eminent Punjabi Playwright would be borne by the state government, so there is nothing to worry about. He said that Ajmer Singh Aulakh is eminent Punjabi playwright and litterateur who suffering from critically cancer and now he is recuperating from his illness. He said that Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh soon after hearing the condition of the Mr. Aulakh, announced the financial assistance for the treatment of ailing Playwright. He said that he visited the hospital to enquire about the condition of Mr. Aulakh and announced that all medical expenses for the treatment would be paid by Punjab Government.

The Health Minister said that state government is concerned about the health of ailing Playwright and he is now relieved to know that the condition of Mr. Aulakh is getting better day by day and he might be discharged from the hospital within one or two days.Mr. Mohindra said that the he has already brought it to the notice of Chief Minister, Punjab that a inflated bill has been raised by the hospital authorities and with his intervention the hospital authorities has waived off the outstanding bill.Pertinently, the noted Punjabi theatre personality Ajmer Singh Aulakh dedicated his entire life for the promotion of theatre and his rare literary works mostly highlighted the circumstances, tiring situations and hardships faced by the oppressed sections of the society.
