Hurriyat Conference (M) strongly condemned the strict curfew and restrictions and banning of internet services across the valley by the ruthless state rulers and their forces preventing a large number of Muslim population of the valley from offering Friday prayers in mosques, even in the holy month of Ramdhan. While Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was once again placed under house arrest since yesterday evening, the central Jamia Masjid was locked down with hundreds of forces standing guard and all routes leading to the mosque sealed with concertina wires and forces vehicles, as if it was a battle field, to prevent Friday congregational prayers. In a statement issued to KNS, Spokesman said that such is the fear of the public in the hearts of the ruthless rulers that people are even prevented from assembling for obligatory Friday prayers and so scant is the respect for the religious sentiments and rights of the majority Muslims that even during the holy month of Ramadhan such anti Muslim measures are brazenly implemented. Such dictatorial measures are then justified in the name of maintaining “law and order” in a land where the only law that is followed is the law of ‘might is right’ from which all forms of repression upon people flow.

Spokesman said that first our youth 19 year old Shaheed Adil is murdered mercilessly by the state forces and then even the right to resent and protest such brutality is snatched from us through curbs and bans.Hurriyat (M) Spokesman said that despite the shameless show of strength against the people of Kashmir by the rulers on the call of joint resistance leadership, protests against the killing of young Adil, Government raids against pro freedom leaders activists and traders and Indian visual medias propaganda and vilification campaign against people of Kashmir, were held across the valley including in Sopore Hajin Shopian Baramullah Anantnag, Pulwama and other areas.protest rally was held by Hurriyat at Anchaar, Soura in which hundreds of youth participated. The protest was led by Sofi Mushtaq Ahmed and Advocate Yasir Rouf Dalal while Sahil Ahmed Bhat, Bashir Ahmed Pandit, Muhammad Ashraf Shah, Farooq Ahmed Sheikh and Adil Ahmed Zargar participated in the protest.Meanwhile APHC also strongly condemned the house detention and arrests of Hurriyat leaders including Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Engineer Hilal War, Advocate Shahidul Islam, and dozens of other pro-freedom leaders terming it as state terrorism.
