Dr. Nirmal Singh inaugurates five-day long multimedia exhibition by DAVP

Asks for reaching out to common masses with Govt schemes

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh today inaugurated five-day long multimedia exhibition on the theme “Saath Hai Vishvas Hai… Ho Raha Vikas Hai” being organised by Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting at Kala Kendra, Jammu.The exhibition has been organised to highlight various welfare schemes of the central government.MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Rajeev Ranjan, Additional Director General, Department of Field Publicity RP Saroj and Deputy Director, Department of Field Publicity Neha Jalali were also present in the exhibition.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM said these events depict the earnest desire of the central government to reach out to common masses and create awareness among them about various state and centrally sponsored schemes. The government, under able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been working relentlessly to bring a change in the lives of citizens of this country, he added.

He directed DC, Jammu and officers of DAVP to work in tandem to hold exhibitions and awareness camps at panchayat level so that the information reaches the genuine beneficiaries and people get real time redressal to their problems.“The PM’s visits abroad have raised the prestige and standing of the country on the international forum and it has also changed the mindset of the people towards India. They have started seeing India as an emerging world power,” Dr. Singh said.Cultural programme performed by troupe of Song and Drama Division on the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and other welfare schemes, Magic show were the main attraction of the exhibition.During the exhibition, symposium on “Swachhta Ka Mahatwa” and “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, painting and quiz contest, solo singing competition and Kavi Samellan would also be organised in the exhibition. Later, the Deputy CM also inaugurated today’s session of “Making of Developed India” (MODI) fest and distributed prizes among the winners of lucky draw.
