Virbhadra Singh announces upgradation of CHC Badsar to 100 bedded hospital

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing an impressive gathering at Biar in Badsar constituency of district Hamirpur today announced up-gradation of Community Health Centre Badsar to Civil Hospital with 100 bed facility and opening of Fire Brigade Station at Bijhari (Dhatwal). He also announced post graduate classes for English and History in Government Degree College Badsar alongwith M.Com classes.He announced Upgradation of Veterinary Dispensary Chakmoh to Veterinary Hospital, Opening of Ayurveda Health Centre at Village Tikker Rajputtaan and a Sainik Rest House at Badsar. He also announced a foot bridge for Village Kaseri.He said that Police Chowki Bijhari and Bhota would be made fully functional with provision of departmental buildings at these places. At present these chowkis were operational from hired buildings.He advised the BJP leaders to think big as ‘Mantra’ of the country is ‘Unity in Diversity’ and they should adhere to it and follow these ideals.  Those who believe in divisive politics should refrain from their nefarious practices and designs , as it would be detrimental to the interests of the Nation.

He said that as far as Hamirpur was concerned, it was treading fast on path of development. It is the most literate district in the State. He said Hamirpur which was a tehsil earlier, today stands as a well recognised progressive district. Credit for this progress goes to Dr.YS Parmar and successive Congress governments. He said he always  cited  examples of the district with pride that at least  one  male member from the family from Hamirpur was in armed forces and contributed in service of the Nation.The Chief Minister said that forest clearance for Hamirpur Medical college was awaited and it would soon pave way for construction of the College building adding that the government had made adequate budgetary provision for the same.He said people should be aware of shrewd politicians. When they have nothing to say, they criticise one another and people should be well aware of their tactics and motives.He said as far as BJP was concerned, they try to take credit of development for themselves, overlooking the fact that the Congress governments most of the time ruled the State since its formation. 

The Chief Minister said that it was a wrong practice that the sitting Member of Parliament was trying to fool people that he was instrumental in bringing funds from the Centre to the state. He said the central planning department  has predefined guidelines for distribution of funds to the State governments, and  it was the predetermined responsibility of the Centre to give due share of funds to states.Chief Parliamentary Secretary Shri Inder Dutt Lakhanpal welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He also listed the development of the area and credited the development to the Congress rules under Chief Ministership of Shri Virbhadra Singh. He lambasted at the BJP for conspiring against the Chief Minister adding that the BJP was only involved in regional politics. Shri Lakhanpal said that the present Congress regime would be remembered for making Himachal an educational hub.A delegation of workers working under National Rural Health Mission also met the Chief Minister at Badsar and urged to formulate a policy for them on the analogy of RKS/contract employees as they were serving in rural areas dedicatedly.Vice-Chairman, State Disaster Management Authority Shri Rajinder Rana, Former MLA Shri Manjeet Dogra, Chairman APMC Shri Prem Kaushal, President DCC Shri Naresh Thakur, Chairman Ex-servicemen Corporation, Col. B.C.Lagwal, Member, Zila Parishad Ms. Arvinder Kaur, Congress leader Smt. Promila Devi, Shri Brij Mohan Soni were also present on the occasion.
