Chief Minister lays foundation stone of Govt. Degree College Ladbadhol

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that State Government was giving priority for providing quality education facilities to the youth of the State. It was being ensured that best education be provided to the students at their doorsteps and various educational institutions viz: schools, colleges and technical education institutions were being opened as per requirement of the areas. Chief Minister was addressing a large gathering at Ladbadhol in district Mandi after laying foundation stone of Government Degree College at Ladbadol today. 

Chief Minister said that State Government was committed for balanced and overall development of the State. He said that he had toured extensively in the State and himself monitoring on-going developmental works. Besides, he has been communicating directly with the people so as  to resolve their problems there and then. He said that he was on tour to Chamba, Kangra and Mandi districts since last many days and he had laid foundation stones and dedicated many development projects worth crores of rupees during this period.He said that previous BJP Government had opened many schools and colleges without making any budgetary provisions just for gaining political mileage adding that the present Government was giving top priority for providing proper infrastructure in newly opened and upgraded educational institutions. 

Virbhadra Singh said that the previous BJP Government had ignored the development of Joginder Nagar area despite of the fact that the MLA representing this area was holding rank of Cabinet Minister in the BJP Government. He said that present Congress Government had opened 14 new government colleges in the State with Rs. five crore budgetary provision for each college. Chief Minister said that Rs. 45 crore had been approved for developing proper infrastructure in these colleges. He said that Rs. 4282 crore had been allocated for education sector during the year 2014-15. Chief Minister said that the Government would consider opening Sub pision of Irrigation and Public Health Department at Ladbadhol besides adequate staff would be deputed at Community Health Centre Ladbadhol to provide better medical facilities to the people.

Surender Pal Thakur, former MLA Jogindernagar assembly constituency said that educational and health institutions in the Jogindernagar area had been opened during the Chiefministership of  Shri Virbhadra Singh. He thanked the Chief Minister for providing two colleges in the assembly segment adding that adequate land had been provided for setting up college at Ladbadol. He apprised the Chief Minister about other demands of the people of the area. 

Shri Prem Nath, General Secretary, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan, Jogindernagar welcomed the Chief Minister. Shri Jeevan Thakur, President, Block Congress Committee, Jogindernagar also spoke on the occasion. MLA Baijnath, Shri Kishori Lal, former MLA Shri Ram Singh, Secretary, State Congress Committee, Shri Rakesh Chauhan, senior officers of the State Government and prominent people of the area were also present on the occasion.
