No Interest Be Imposed On Payment Of Out Standing Bills Of House Tax: Anil Joshi

In a big relief to the urban population of the state the Punjab Government today allowed the citizen to pay the outstanding bill of house tax without any penalty. This facility would be applicable up till March 31, 2014. It was disclosed by Anil Joshi, Minister for Local Bodies, in a press communiqué here today.Joshi said that the consumers in order to avail this benefit have to deposit the out pending bills up to March 31, 2014. He further said that written instruction in this regard has already been dispatched to all the commissioner of the Municipal Corporations, Regional Deputy Directors of the Local Urban Bodies and Executive Officers of the all Nagar Councils and Panchayats. “The officers have also been told to sensitize the public about the initiative of the Government, so that more and more people can avail this opportunity”, the Minister added.
