Mini Secretariat to be constructed at Karsog

Mini Secretariat building would be constructed at Karsog which would house various offices under one roof besides a Sub Tehsil would be opened at Pangana to facilitate people of the area. This was stated by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing impressive gathering at Karsog in Mandi district today. He announced Rs. two crore for construction of the Mini Secretariat building. 

Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh has witnessed unprecedented progress since its formation and credit for this goes to the successive Congress Governments in the State. He said that Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar the first Chief Minister of the State laid sound foundation for development and Thakur Ram Lal continued to strive hard for cementing it further. He said that with blessings of the people he had been lucky to serve the State as Chief Minister for record sixth time. He said that when the State came into existence there were less than 300 schools in the State whereas today over 33,000 educational institutions were providing quality education to students of the State.

Virbhadra Singh said that the State Government believed in alround and balanced development of the State. He said that recently he had been undertaking an extensive tour of Chamba and Mandi districts of the State. He said that during his visits he had been regularly monitoring on-going developmental projects, besides redressing grievances of the people. He said that the State today can boast of cent percent electrification besides all the villages have been provided potable drinking water. He said that the previous Government closed down over 149 schools whereas the present Government not only reopened all these institutions but about 325 new schools were upgraded and opened during this period.Chief Minister said that construction of roads had been top priority of the State Government and today even Dodra Kwar, Pandrah Beesh areas of the State were connected with road facility and remote area of Kasha Patha would also be connected with road soon. He said that the State today have over 33,000 kms of road length whereas there were only about 300 kms road when the State came into existence. He said that his Government was of the view that roads were vital component for alround development of the State. Virbhadra Singh said that there was no need for carving out new districts in the State as it required huge finances. He said that it was a mere gimmick of the previous Government simply to pert the attention of the people from core issues of development. He said that the sole objective of the present Government was to make Himachal Pradesh one of the most developed State in the next four years. 

Chief Minister announced opening  of Primary Health Centres at Seri Banglo, Mahog and Bagshyiad. He also announced upgradation of Primary School, Thogi-Tattapani, Lahani in Gram Panchayat Chauridhar, Khanora in Gram Panchayat Sanahali and Sarahan in Gram Panchayat Sarahan to Middle Schools. He also announced upgradation of Government Middle Schools, Chhandayara, Richhani, Matehal, Lalag,  Kuther to Government High Schools. He also announced upgradation of Government High Schools, Bakharot and Kheel to Senior Secondary Schools besides starting Science classes in Government Senior Secondary School, Bagshyiad. He also announced opening of Primary School at Kotalu.Shri Virbhadra Singh also announced that two new trades in electrician and Motor Mechanic would be started in ITI, Karsog. He also announced construction of vegetable market and Karsog bye pass to facilitate people of the area. Chief Minister also announced Rs. 10 lakh for construction of Ramleela stage in Karsog ground. 

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mansa Ram speaking on the occasion said that the State had witnessed unparalleled development during the Chief Ministership of Shri Virbhadra Singh. He said that if Dr. Parmar was known as founder of Himachal Pradesh Shri Virbhadra Singh was undoubtedly the ‘Masiha of Development’ of the State. He said that Chief Minister has a clean and unblemished political care of over 52 years behind him and his image could not be tarnished by mudslinging. He thanked the Chief Minister for providing liberal assistance for development of Karsog area. Vice President, Block Congress Committee, Karsog Shri Dhana Lal Mahajan welcomed the Chief Minister. President, Block Congress Committee, Karsog Shri Prithivi Sen Negi proposed vote of thanks. President, NSUI Shri Roop Lal, Organizing Secretary, Sanjay Gandhi Panchayati Raj Organization Shri Sanjay Mehta, General Secretary, DCC Smt. Kamla Verma, President, Gram Panchayat Karsog Shri Tek Chand, Deputy Commissioner Shri  Devesh Kumar, Shri R.S. Negi, Superintendent of Police and other prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
