Tourism industry lost a great promoter, leader : Secy tourism

The Department of Tourism has expressed shock over the sudden and sad demise of President Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK), Manzoor Siddiq, who passed away after brief illness at the SMHS hospital on Saturday (May 13) afternoon.Secretary Tourism, Farooq Ahmad Shah, has expressed his heartfelt condolences over his tragic demise and prayed for the departed soul. He said Siddiq was a very hardworking professional who worked vigorously for the promotion of tourism industry of the State. “We have lost a great tourism leader in Manzoor Sahab. His loss will be felt badly,” he said.Condoling the demise, the Director Tourism, Kashmir, Mahmood A Shah, said Siddiq was always on his toes to promote tourism in the State. “He would participate in all tourism road shows and seminars in and outside the state. His promotional activities and the work he has done to bring tourists to the State would always be remembered.”
