DC Kathua inaugurates blood donation camp at District Hospital

District Red Cross Society Kathua today organized a blood donation camp here at the District Hospital. The camp organized to mark Red Cross Day was inaugurated by DC Kathua, Ramesh Kumar by volunteering to donate the blood. Over 15 other volunteers from different sections of the society donated the blood to serve the noble cause of saving precious lives.The DC Kathua who is also the Chairman of District Red Cross Society laid stress on creating awareness and motivating people to be active members of the society and to serve human beings in distress. He further highlighted the importance and benefits of blood donation and said that such camps would go a long way to minimize the paucity of blood in health institutions.ADC Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan, CMO Dr R K Sangra and other senior officers were also present during the blood donation camp.
