Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today ridiculing at the ‘severe political crisis’ being faced by Congress Party on the eve of Lok Sabha polls said now it has become totally handicapped and seeking political aide from already dead People’s Party of Punjab.Describing Congress as politically pauper, Badal said sensing its massive defeat here in Lok Sabha polls, the Congress Party was seeking help from right and left but despite this it would get 'zero' results in the polls. Answering media queries regarding news reports of proposed pact between Congress and PPP in Malwa region, Mr. Badal said this reflects the level of weakness and desperation of Congress Party, which was seeking aide from already collapsed PPP. He said Congress would die its own death courtesy inefficient, ineffective and non-productive decade long rule of UPA and only Mr. Narendra Modi can save the country with decisive policies and decisions of NDA.

When asked about Congress candidates against SAD contenders, Badal said Congress was also lacking on this issue since PPCC Chief  Partap Singh Bajwa and Union Minister of State Mr. Manish Tewari were also running from respective constituencies. He said Congress has no suitable candidates to field against SAD fearing defeats on big margins.Referring to statements of congress leaders regarding ongoing foundation stone laying of development projects,  Badal said time will gag their mouths with suitable answers as these all development projects would become operational within two years. He said it was the principal tradition of Congress to create hue-and-cry against development initiatives.   

Meanwhile Mr. Badal laid the foundation stone of Rs. 24 crore Railway Over Bridge on Muktsar-Jalalabad road. He said that Punjab government has prepared a comprehensive plan to eliminate the waterlogging problem of the area and within one and half year the area would be free from this long menace. He also distributed Blue Card to the beneficiaries of Atta-Daal scheme and asked the beneficiaries to take full benefit of welfare schemes of Punjab Government.Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Mr. Sher Singh Ghubaya, Local MP, Mr. Manjit Singh Barkandi, President SAD district unit, Mr. Mit Singh Brar, former president Nagar Council, Deputy Commissioner Paramjit Singh and SSP Surjit Singh.
