CGC Jhanjeri students excelled at national Tech. competition

The students of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering Departments of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri won prizes at Innotech  2017, a technical fest organized by Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. More than 109 colleges from north India participated in the event and 300 projects from different leading institutes and Universities of Punjab carrying innovative ideas were displayed. Two teams of Mechanical Engineering Department and one from CSE Department represented Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri in the Project Display event of this fest. The mechanical engineering students displayed two projects on Efficycle & Smart Wheel Chair for differently abled persons while CSE students presented Virtual Intelligent Black Box System (VIBBS). Out of 300 projects, 15 projects were selected for final round. The projects prepared by CGC Jhanjeri students on Smart Wheel Chair of Mechanical Engineering Department and Virtual Intelligent Black Box System (VIBBS), CSE Department bagged second position and won cash prizes of Rs. 10000/- each. The members of winning teams include Kali Prasad Kar, Vimal, Priyanshu and Swayam for Efficycle , Mrinal Verma, Shubham Bakaya, Aman Singh for Smart Wheel Chair, Komal Chauhan and Manmeet for Virtual Intelligent Black Box System (VIBBS).Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that such achievements prove the excellent caliber and talents of the Faculty as well as students. Students not only possess the theoretical knowledge, but they also have the capability of applying this knowledge for the practical use for the society, Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General added.
