Acharya Devvrat inaugurates Parvati Hospital

Governor Acharya Devvrat urged people to adopt the traditional Indian lifestyle besides expansion of qualitative medical services. He stressed to consider the increasing number of patients even after having more medical institutions in the State.The Governor was addressing public gathering on the inauguration of Parvati Hospital at Dashmal in Bhoranj constituency of  district Hamirpur with the support of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi and Sir Ganga Ram Trust Committee, Parvati Education and Health Society had ensured treatment for various chronicle  diseases besides providing Dialysis facility. He said that only healthy citizens and society are the real treasure of  the nation. He urged people to adopt a healthy approach besides working on their daily life. The Governor congratulated Padamshree Dr. D.S. Rana for the construction of highly specialized hospital in this rural area on the name of his mother. The hospital would prove a boon for the people of the area as they would get treatment near their door steps.Former Chief Minister Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal welcomed the Governor and said that the people of the area would be benefitted with the opening of the hospital as they would not need to go out for the treatment.Appreciating the persistent efforts of Padamshree Dr. Rana, Shri Dhumal said that to remain connected with his native place is worth mentioning. He also stressed the need for providence of workforce and medicines in government medical institutions. He described the eminent positions of Health Minister at Centre, Director PGI, Chandigarh and Director, AIIMS held by Himachal doctors as commendable for the State.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Kaul Singh Thakur said that the State Government is committed to provide better health care services in rural areas. He said that during the four years various medical institutions were opened besides upgrading of the hospitals at various levels as 32 Community Health Centres were upgraded to Civil Hospitals. He said that the State Government is providing free medical services to eligible patients under various health care and health programmes in the State. Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society Shri Ashok Chandra also spoke on the occasion.Chairman of Parvati Education and Health Society and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Management Board Dr. D.S Rana welcomed the Governor with other dignitaries and thanked him for inaugurating the hospital.Secretary of Society Col. Balwant Thakur proposed vote of thanks. MLA Dr. Anil Dhiman, former Parliamentary Secretary Smt. Anita Verma, senior officers and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.Later on, Governor also visited Gyan Ganga Gau Sewa Sansthan Blayut and announced Rs. 50,000 for rearing of cows and improvement of breeding in the institute.
