Chander Prakash Ganga for strengthening Bharat Scouts & Guides movement in JK

A weeklong Basic Training Course for Scout Masters, Guide Captains was today organized by Bharat Scouts & Guides at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Jakh.Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga was the chief guest on the occasion.Teachers from different educational zones of the district Samba are participating in the training course.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that scouts and guides activities have pivotal role in promoting sense of patriotism, social service and devotion towards the development of the society.“Scouts and Guides movement needs encouragement as it promotes character building, spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood, which is vital for overall character building of an individual,” the Minister added.The Minister lauded the role of Scouts and Guides and asked the participants to carry forward this noble movement in every nook and corner of the state besides introducing it in educational institutions.

Ganga said Jammu and Kashmir is proud of the services being rendered by Bharat Scouts & Guides in cementing the bonds of brotherhood among the people from various walks of life.Responding to the demand of land for construction of training centre of Bharat Scouts & Guides, the Minister asked them to identify suitable land so that the process for the same would be initiated at the concerned quarters.Earlier, the Minister inspected various development works being carried out in the GGHSS Jakh. He asked the executing agencies to redouble their efforts so that the work would be completed within the fixed time frame.State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides I D Soni, Advisor Bharat Scouts & Guides, Sakina Bano, Principal GGHSS Jakh besides representatives of J&K Chapter of Bharat Scouts & Guides were also present on the occasion.
