Vigilance produce charge sheet against Forest officials

Vigilance Organization Kashmir produced a Charge Sheet (Challan) before the Hon’ble Anti-Corruption Court, Baramulla in Case FIR No. 17/2012 U/S 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2) J&K P. C. Act. Samvat 2006, Section 120-B RPC P/S VOK Srinagar. After obtaining proper sanction from the competent authority for launching prosecution against the following in-service/retired accused Government public servants of forest Department Mohammad Shafi Dar, the then Range Officer Gurez (now retired), Ghulam Nabi Bhat, the then Block Forester Kawabal Gurez (now retired). Abdul Qayoom Shah the then Block Forester Churwan Gurez. Vigilance Organization Kashmir has registered a case into the allegations of misappropriation of Govt. money by the forest Department and by hatching a criminal conspiracy by abuse of their official positions as public servants dishonestly caused loss to the tune of Rs.2,93,043/- to the state exchequer in the construction of Forest check post at Chekhwali Kawabal, Gurez and in the implementation of CMS Participatory programme during the year 2008-09.The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the aforementioned accused persons and for launching prosecution the Challan of the case has been produced before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Baramulla Kashmir.
