Tantry inaugurates Kissan Mela-cum-Awareness Camp

Member Legislative Assembly, Shah Mohammad Tantry  inaugurated one day  Kissan Mela- cum Awareness programme' under Pardhan Mantri Krishi Sanchayee Yojana (PMKSY) at Loran Mandi here today. Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, officers of agriculture and its allied departments and farmers in large attended the programme. During the programme, the farmers were informed about PMKSY and asked   to avail benefits of the scheme to boost agricultural and allied produce. Speaking on the occasion MLA emphasized upon the need to develop sustainable agriculture practices keeping in view the current climate changed pattern and its effects on agriculture production. He also called for sustained efforts by Horticulture department to tap the horticulture potential of the area and stressed on creating awareness among the farmers about the schemes of the department. Tantry exhorted on efficient use of resources for enhanced productivity and advised the officers to make frequent field visits in order to achieve desirable results.
