DDC Bandipora inaugurates sports festival

District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Sajjad Hussain, today inaugurated Khelo India (sports for all) festival here at Sher-i-Kashmir Sports Stadium.As many as 16 teams from ten blocks of the district are participating in the under-17 football festival organized by State Sports Council in collaboration with Football Association and District Youth Service and Sports, Bandipora.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated the organizers for conducting the festival in the district. He said apart from Sports Council, the district administration is taking a number of steps to promote sports activities.Officials of State Sports Council, DYSS, Members of Football Association Bandipora and a large number of students and football players were present on the occasion.
