Vice- Chairman Kissan Advisory Board calls on Governor

Daljit Singh Chib, Vice-Chairman, Kissan Advisory Board, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here.Sh. Chib informed the Governor about the various challenges to be met in the Agriculture and its allied sectors and the steps being taken to provide information about the latest advancement in agricultural practices to the farmers.Governor emphasized the importance of the State Agriculture Production Department and the two State Agricultural Universities working most closely together to educate the farmers and keep them timely supplied with the required inputs.The Governor also stressed the need for enlarging diversified farming under which every farm would have crops, cattle, fruit trees, poultry, fish and bee keeping units, all of which would contribute to significantly raising the earnings of farmers.
