Back to back funeral prayers were offered by thousands of mourners to slain militant Aqib Molvi alias Zeeshan in South Kashmir’s Tral town of Pulwama district.Aqib was one of the two militants killed during the 15-hour-long firefight with forces at Haffu, Nazneenpora village on Sunday. The body of the second slain militant was recovered from the debris at the encounter site at Hefoo, Nazneenpora area of Tral late last night, reports said on Monday.  Sources said that body of the Hizb militant, Usama was charred beyond recognition. Police said that Usama was a Pak national.Eyewitnesses told CNS that to accommodate thousands of people who had gathered in Tral township of Pulwama district to offer funeral prayers of slain Hizb militant Aqib Ahmad Bhat alias Aqib Movli, multiple Janaza’s were offered at his native village in Hyuna amid the shutdown.A large number of people from Tral, Awantipora and other areas of Pulwama district had reached Hyuna to participate in the Namaz-e-Jinaza of Aaqib and have a last glimpse of him, reports said. Mourners raised high-pitched pro-freedom slogans. Senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani addressed the mourners telephonically and appealed people to take the “Movement” to its logical end.Geelani while hailing the role of militants, said that we are indebted to them and their sacrifices won’t go waste. He said that stubborn attitude of India is the main cause for continuous bloodshed in state and it is the root cause of uncertainty in sub-continent.He in his speech said that I am sure and confident that we will achieve our cherished goal and while quoting Holy Quran and hailing the sacrifices rendered by youth of state, said that those who lay their precious lives for a sacred cause never die and their memories serve a source of inspirations for next generations.
