DDC Anantnag reviews implementation of district plan 2016-17

The District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today convened a meeting to review implementation of District Development Board decisions here today.The meeting was informed that against an approved allocation of Rs185.48 crore under district plan 2016-2017, an amount of Rs 67crore have been spent on various developmental works and welfare schemes in the district upto the end February, 2017.While reviewing the progress achieved under district plan 2016-17, the DDC directed the R&B and PMGSY departments to submit the district connectivity plan within two days keeping in view the perspective planning. He directed them to focus on the connectivity of unconnected habitations. He also directed CMO to finalize the health plan focusing the infrastructure, healthcare equipments and staff requirements of the district so that long-term initiatives are anticipated at the higher level. He also directed the concerned to ensure effective implementation of TSP.The Executive officer M.C. Anantnag and officers of the Town area committees of Dooru Verinag, Bijbehara, Mattan, Aishmuqam, Koernag and Achabal were asked to ensure all street lights are functioning properly in Anantnag town. The DDC directed SE, Hydraulic to ensure the construction of two water supply schemes in each constituency of the district which has been decided in the last DDB meeting.ADC, CEOs of Verinag, Kokernag and Pahalgam Tourism Development Authorities, Chief Planning Officer, SDMs of Dooru, Kokernag, SE Hydraulic, Exens of R&B, PMGSY, PDD, PHE, CGM JKPCC, district & other sectoral officers.
