DC reviews implementation of AMRUT in Anantnag

District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah, today convened a meeting to review implementation and preparedness for upcoming projects under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme in the district. During the meeting, it was given out that six projects will be taken up for execution in Anantnag under AMRUT scheme for urban planning development in the district.On the occasion, the DDC said that UEED will execute Septage Treatment Plant and Sold Wastage Management Plant in Anantnag for which land has been identified at Uranhal.Further, under the AMRUT programme it was said that three green spaces will be developed at Khanbal Corridor, Shirpora, and Kadipora, besides a multi-storey parking on 4.5 kanals of land will be constructed at T.B hospital, Anantnag. 

Moreover, water supply scheme will be taken up for South Camps of Kashmir University, Anantnag.The meeting was informed that under the programme there is a provision of facelifting of Anantnag town which includes planting trees, better sanitation measures, besides pedestrian and cycling paths in the first phase. The plan also encompasses construction of storm water drainage system in the areas of Mirdanter and Dabruna of the district.While directing the officers to conduct field visits of areas where the projects are to be executed, he asked them to gear up for effective implantation of all the development projects.ADC Anantnag, Xens of UEED, PHE, Urban Development and other concerned attended the meeting.
