Government taking reformative measures to empower people in the state : Nizamudin Bhat

Reiterating the party`s commitment for the socio-economic growth and development of the state envisioned by late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, People`s Democratic Party (PDP) has resolved to expedite and augment the efforts for political stability and sustainable peace in Jammu and Kashmir.Speaking to a party workers at Bandipore, the party general secretary and vice Chairman J&K Horticulture Board  Nizamudin Bhat  has that party has a proven track record of creating an enabling environment for the promotion of businesses, commerce, tourism and creating avenues of meaningful and respectable employment opportunities for our educated youth in the state.He said while the state of Jammu and Kashmir is faced with many challenges, the government headed by Ms. Mehbooba Mufti is working on series of reformative measures to empower the people of the state as was done by late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.

Highlighting the local demands for immediate completion and repairment of  Roads including construction of Bandipora Sumbal road, Bhat urged the government to immediately address this long pending issue with much public importance. He also urged the MLA’s of Bandipore, Gurez and Sonawari including Hon’ble MLC’s to contribute from their CDF for early repairs and upgradation of road connectivity in the district.Expressing serious concern of perpetual degradation of wullar lake Bhat said it is a serious damage to environment and geographical identity of Kashmir it has also rendered thousands of families virtually without an earning. Fish is dying, Nadroo is lost and so ware other products of economic yielding at constant decline.The authorities need to be alerted to save lake and its reputation, Bhat demanded adding any kind of delay in its retrieval will cause serious damaged to economy and environment. 

Nizamudin Bhat urged for enhancement in the allocation of Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) for this hilly district in perspective of poverty and backwardness, claiming the due share. He said that Tribal Ministry should  ensure that funds to be received are utilized only after comprehensive planning which should take difficulty of under developed areas of Tribal Community particularly Gujjar Community into consideration. He said development agencies need to make a survey to ascertain the actual need of the people and accordingly raise the infra-structure, besides throwing open opportunity for avenues and social upliftment of the Tribal Community.Bhat made a fervent appeal to the government to focus on speedy completion of central schemes and in sectors of Health, Education, Public Health Engineering, Agriculture, Horticulture and Environment, besides raising the necessary infra structure commensurate projections for growth.Stressing upon the need to upgrate power supply network Bhat demanded immediate starting up of Patushay Grid Station. He also urged for utilisation of 150 Crore NHPC Money available for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control under proper plan and surveillance. (CNS)
