DDC reviews functioning of RDD

District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar today convened a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Development Department (RDD) in the district.Assistant Commissioner Development gave brief account of achievements made during the current financial year under MGNREGA, 13th Finance Commission, Panchayat Ghars, BADP, SCA to TSP, SCA to SCSP, MPLADS/MLACDF.During the meeting, DDC was apprised that under MGNREGA, a total of Rs 2642.916 lakh were allocated out of which Rs 2298.234 lakh were utilized generating 504828 Person Day’s. DDC was further apprised that funds to the tune of Rs 2148.250 lakh were allotted for the construction of Panchayat Ghar’s  under 13th F.C, under which 98 works were taken up, out of which 61 works were fully completed and another 37 are in progress.DDC also reviewed progress of model village Airwan in block Nagri and directed the concerned to speed up the work while ensuring quality and its completion within stipulated time. DDC called upon the BDO's to ensure regular updation of MIS data and further directed ACD Kathua to ensure availability of key material in the blocks.He stressed on greater transparency in implementation of developmental works and judicious use of funds. He called for proper coordination among concerned departments for effective and timely completion of developmental projects and their subsequent be Assistant Commissioner Development, DPO, Executive Engineer REW, BDOs, Assistant Executive Engineers and other officers of the RDD department attended the meeting.
