DDC reviews progress on implementation of DDB decisions

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, convened a meeting to review the progress on implementation of decisions of District Development Board (DDB) meeting here today.Threadbare discussion was held regarding physical and financial achievement registered by various departments.Assistant Commissioner Development apprised the meeting that under IAY about 441 beneficiaries have been covered and against an outlay of Rs. 549.28 lakh, Rs.162.41 lakh have been released and incurred till date.Similarly, under MGNREGA against an outlay of Rs.7729.82 lakh, Rs 53 crore have been expended on completion of 2589 works across the district. Beside, the department has constructed 22 bridges across the district during the current financial year.While taking review of R&B department, the meeting was briefed that against the released funds to the tune of Rs 30 crore, the department has incurred an expenditure of Rs 23.84 crore. Besides, 120.93 km of road length has been macadamized across the district and 6 bridges and 137 pipe culverts have been completed.District Animal Husbandry Officer informed the meeting that against an allocation of Rs.16 lakh, Rs.13 lakh have been utilised achieving 90% of physical targets.DDC also took stock of the achievement of the concerned departments under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana and asked the concerned departments to identify the priority sectors so that the plan for the next financial year could be finalised under this scheme.
