Tariq Hameed Karra formally joins Congress

Founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party and former finance minister, Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday joined the Indian National Congress in New Delhi.Karra joint the party in the presence of Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, reports said.Pertinently, Karra defeated the National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah during the 2014 parliamentary elections from Srinagar constituency. Reports said that a close aide of Karra and former Vice President of PDP for District Srinagar also joined the Congress party. (CNS)
