Annual Sports Day celebrated Indo Global Colleges

Indo Global Colleges celebrated their 14th  Annual Sports meet. After the inaugural function, The budding engineers, architects, managers and educationists all showed their skills on the field . Over 900 students including 400 girls competed in Athletics comprising of Races, Long Jump, High Jump, Javelin, Discuss Throw, Hurdles etc and in Games like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis and Badminton all in all  there were over 27 sporting events.After the oath ceremony, 100, 200, 400 and 800 meter races set the tempo with loud cheering from a large enthusiastically participating audience. Cheers, whistles, clapping and shouting followed nonstop for the rest of the day reaching a crescendo on announcement of the winners. Adding to the fervor was the race by faculty members. Students cheered the Lady Faculty members as well as the Gents Faculty members enthusiastically. Some of the interesting activities were breaking the Handi tied on a height of over 45 feet by groups of students, and the most vigorously contested game was the tug o' war. The final contest of tug o' war (boys) was between the teams of Civil and Mechanical Department with Civil Department winning the toughly contested event and Tug o’ war (girls) between Engineering Vs Architecture College, Engineering College won the event. Students of Civil Department showed a lot of zeal taking away prizes besides being declared the best in the synchronized March Past, Mechanical (boys) & B.Arch (Girls) and Mechanical (Boys) department won the First position in 400 and 800 meter races while B.Arch (Girls) & BBA (Boys)  took away the first position in 100 & 200 Meters races. In the Girls segment B.Arch College secured first position in 100 and 200 meters. Students of Civil & ECE department broke the Handi and won the first prize.Chairman Sukhdev Kumar Singla Singla lauded the efforts of the organizing committee for such meticulous planning and execution of an event of so big a magnitude.
