DDC reviews progress of PMKSY in Kupwara

District Development Commissioner Kupwara, G. M. Dar, today convened a meeting to review the implementation of PMKSY aimed at providing betterirrigation facilities to farmers.  The meeting also discussed District Irrigation Plan in detail.On the occasion, measures to ensure enhanced irrigation facilities and efficient usage of water to farmers through PMGSY were reviewed thoroughly.The meeting was informed that many developmental works have been undertaken under the centrally sponsored scheme and in first phase as many as 8 clusters have been identified for implementation of PMSKY projects up to year 2021.During the meeting, the DDC impressed the concerned agencies to ensure the active implementation of the Yojna for enhancement of irrigation facilities, efficient usage of water under ‘Har Khet ko Pani and More Crop Per Drop’ programmesin the district.
