Super-Specialty Hospital Executives brief Governor

M. M. Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super-Specialty Hospital (SMVDNSSH) and Mr. Sunil Narayana, Zonal Director Narayana Health, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today and briefed him about the to-date status of all aspects of the Hospital’s functioning, particularly the progressive increase in the number of outdoor and indoor patients, number of diagnostic tests conducted, number of major surgeries performed etc since the Hospital commenced functioning in April 2016. Governor was informed that till date 61 outreach Camps have been held in which 11,009 patients were screened.

Mr. Harjai informed that under the Shrine Board’s Medical Support Policy, 3,527 patients have been treated during April 2016-January 2017 of whom 111 were pilgrims; 3,002 Shrine Board’s employees and dependents in OPD; 67 employees and dependent in IPD; 26 patients from the Gurukul; 62 patients of nearby Baridar/landowner families; 84 villagers; 125 OPD and 1 IPD from the Nursing students of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing, and gratuitous relief was provided to 49 cases.Stressing the need to ensure efficient use of the state of the art diagnostic and other infrastructure available in the Hospital the Governor and the two senior executives discussed the opening of OPD Clinic at Jammu, PET Scan facility and commencement of Robotic Surgery in the Hospital.
