Horticulture dept organizes training programme on fruit preservation

One week long training programme on fruit preservation and value addition organized by Department of Horticulture at village Tapyal of Zone Ghagwal concluded here today.District Development Commissioner Sheetal Nanda was chief guest on the occasion.During the one week long training a group of 40 women from various villages of block Ghagwal were imparted training in the technique of fruit preservation and value addition by the expert from processing wing of the Horticulture Department and over 15 different products were prepared during the training for demonstration .DDC while interacting with the participants exhorted upon them to avail the benefits of such training programmes aimed at their skill development and use this knowhow for setting up their own enterprises. SDM Ghagwal N.D Sharma, Chief Horticulture Development officers C.l Sharma, District level Subject Matter Specialist (PP) S Sarabjeet Singh, Horticulture Development Officers Shrestha Gaur besides other officers were also present on the occasion.
