DIC Kathua organizes Mushaira

District Information Centre, Kathua organized a multilingual mushaira at Government Model Higher Secondary School Basohli.Vice Principal Government Model Higher Secondary School Basohli Suresh Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Staff, prominent citizens and large number of students were present on the occasion.Prominent poets who recited their poems included  N.D Bakshi, Bhushan Shastri, Arshad, Major Singh, Kulvinder Singh, Manish Sharma, and Arisha Choudhary. On the occasion a cultural bonanza comprising of Dogri, Punjabi , Folk Songs  and Ghazals were presented by artists of Information department and local budding artists, Surjeet Singh, Joginder Kumar, Vikram Charbathia, Mukhtiar Ahmed, Rabia Sheikh and Karan Singh.While addressing the participants District Information Officer Angrej Singh said that such programme provide a conducive platform for sharing of creative ideas and also promote the talent of budding artists.Chief guest thanked Information department for organizing such programme and providing an apt platform to the artists and poets.
