Tourism Deptt, TASK kick starts road shows in Maharashtra

Holds tourism seminar to woo tourists to State

In a bid to create confidence building measures, Department of Tourism and Travel Agents Society of Kashmir [TASK] kicked off its first road show at various cities of Maharashtra where more than 132 prominent tour operators were present.Director Floriculture, Muhammad Hussain Mir was the chief guest on the occasion. He highlighted the tourism potential of J&K state and Kashmir in particular as the number one destination in the subcontinent.He said to boost the economical activity of the state, tourism growth is must.The people of the state who are heavily dependent on earnings from tourism are here to urge you all to extend full support to them and  sell J&K as a preferred destination to your clients,” Mir urged the  travel agents. He said it was due to the strong resolve of the tourism trade and the  efforts of the successive state and central governments that tourism  is again showing upward trend. “I must put it on record to appreciate all of you here for giving top priority in promoting J&K since central India has and will always send good number of tourists from here to J&K.”President TASK Mohammad Ibrahim Siah in his welcome address gave a brief about infrastructural development Kashmir and assured all the tour operators that every tourist will be offered excellent holiday in Kashmir.

“Our hospitality is main USP of Kashmir,” he said.He said TASK always played a vital role in giving suggestions on policy decision with all the successive governments in the past and in the present.The members of TASK are the real stakeholders who have since long put  Jammu & Kashmir also called as “the crown of incredible India” on the tourism map of India and abroad by aggressively marketing the pristine  destinations of valley, religious glory of Jammu and adventures of Ladakh.”He said members have best product knowledge to their ability and enjoy the excellent repo with hoteliers, houseboat owners & transporters.Jatin Nakade, Chairman TAAI Sanjay Deshpande and President NTAA assured the tourism fraternity of Kashmir that they will continue to support sending tourists to Kashmir without any hesitation. However, they impressed upon the travel trade fraternity of Kashmir to ensure conducive atmosphere for tourists while visiting Srinagar or other destinations. Chairman J&K Piltof Nasir Shah presented the keynote address highlighting the facilities destinations have.Secretary General TASK Ather Yameen Narwari and the main organizers of road show gave presentation on the different destinations what they offer to intending tourists. Vice-President TASK Mir Anwar presented the vote of thanks.
