DDC Bandipora reviews convergence plan

In order to review the convergence plan 2017-18, the District Development Commissioner Bandipora convened a meeting of the officers of Rural Development Department (RDD) and other line departments here today at Bandipora.During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on the proposed convergence plan and the line departments were directed to submit their proposed plan so that the same is submitted to higher authorities in time.It was given out in the meeting that 51 developmental works have been taken up with an estimated cost of Rs. 381.95 lakh under convergence plan this fiscal in Bandipora district. Out of them, 14 works taken up under Education Department, 3 under Youth Services and Sports Department while as the RDD itself taken up 16 steel decked bridges and 188 flood protection bunds under 13th FC and MGNREGA scheme in the district.The DDC on the occasion said that the focused attention should be given to developing infrastructure and creating jobs for unemployed youth under the convergence plan. He directed the officers to identify the works to be executed under convergence mode at the earliest .Among other officers, CPO Bandipora also attended the meeting.
