Chairman J&K Bank meets Governor

Parvez Ahmed, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.Mr. Ahmed informed the Governor about the recent initiatives taken by the Bank to enlarge its services by expanding the Bank’s infrastructure, particularly with a view to promoting digital economy.The Governor discussed with Chairman issues relating to the more effective use of its funds for advancing its Corporate Social Responsibility and providing targeted support to identified segments of the economy, particularly the craftsmen, weavers and artisans, farmers, horticulturists and entrepreneurs who have viable proposals to set up new ventures.The Governor stressed the J&K Bank’s high responsibility to play a growingly larger role in speeding the growth and development of the State.
