Fed up of the antagonistic policies of the SAD-BJP government that had adversely affected the state’s real estate business over the past 10 years, the Majha Zone Property Dealers Association has extended its support to the Punjab Congress.In a letter written to Punjab Congress President Captain Amarinder Singh, Association president Sanjeev Rampal said the association, and all its members, were with the Congress and fully supported the party in the assembly polls."Our association extends its full support to all the 117 candidates for the assembly polls besides by-election for the Amritsar parliamentary constituency. We are hopeful that once the Congress forms its government under the leadership of Captain Amarinder, the realty sector would flourish," said the letter.Underlining the need to revive the realty sector, Sanjeev lashed out at the Akali government for plunging the real estate business to an all time low because of their wrong policies. Pointing out that the realty business flourished under the chief ministership of Captain Amarinder during 2002-07, he said the sector had witnessed a drastic decline since the Badal-led Akali government took over the reins of the state.
