DPR formulated for Rs 14.09 cr impound reservoir at Sochalipathri: Sham Lal Chowdhery

Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Choudhary informed the house that DPR for construction of Rs 14.09 crore impound reservoir at Sochalipathri has been prepared under NRDWP.Replying to a question by Saif-ud-Din Bhat in upper house today, the Minister said that the implementation of the scheme requires clearance from the forest department. He said the department is following the case and the forest department has intimated that NOC will be issued soon. "After clearance by the department, the DPR will be forwarded to the Union Ministry for Drinking Water and Sanitation for funding" the Minister assured.Regarding augmentation of drinking water supply in the state, the Minister said the department is replacing the worn-out and rusted pipes as per specific requirements beside new habitations are being covered with new pipe lines.
