No new permissions issued for brick kilns in Budgam: Chowdhary Zulfkar

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today said that no new permission/ licenses have been granted for Brick Kiln in district Budgam during the past three years.Replying to a question of Aga Syed Ruhullah in the House, the Minister said that illegal brick kilns have been closed in Budgam and officers of FCS&CA, Revenue, Police and Geology and Mining are regularly monitoring the activities of the Brick Kilns to prevent violation of Brick Kiln Act.“The permission for excavation has been restricted and is granted only in rare cases of Government/ developmental works that too only after verification of the title of the land, site and actual requirement,” he informed the house adding revised J&K Brick Kiln Rules 2017 will be issued soon.Govt to develop multiple sports facilities in all districts: ImranMinister for Youth Services & Sports, Imran Raza Ansari today said that the Government will develop appropriate sports infrastructure in all districts to give boost to the sports activities.

"Under a Special Package for Development of Sports Infrastructure, Multipurpose Indoor Sports Halls will be constructed in all the Districts, including Zadibal constituency," he said.Replying to a Question by Abid Hussain Ansari, the Minister said that the Government was also considering introducing Rehbar-e-Khel scheme to engage trained youth on the pattern of ReT to promote sports.He further said that a playing field has been developed at Gulshan Bagh having mini pavilion and other facilities for carrying out the sports activities.Similarly, construction of pavilion at Gani Khan Stadium has also been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 79 lakh with multiple facilities for the sportspersons, he added.
