The Punjab Congress on Sunday lashed out at AAP leader Bhagwant Mann for his ludicrous and obnoxious allegations against Captain Amarinder Singh, saying he was an alcoholic who is perpetually talking out of his head and had been making a fool of himself at various public forums after getting drunk.“He needs to get his head examined,” said senior PPCC leaders Manpreet Badal and Gurpreet Singh Kangar, reacting strongly to Mann’s cheap and unfounded allegations against Captain Amarinder over his Lambi rally.Mann, a known alcoholic, does not know what he is speaking as he is constantly under the influence of liquor, said the Congress leaders, adding that leaders like Mann should be thrown out of the political arena, which they were vitiating with their uncouth behaviour. The AAP leader had obviously lost his head completely and had become even more frustrated after seeing the tremendous response from the people of Lambi to Captain Amarinder, said the PPCC leaders, adding that the voters of Punjab would teach the likes of Mann the lesson of their life. They pointed out that Mann’s tendency to shoot from his mouth had landed him in serious trouble more often than once. Even the AAP leadership has been forced to deny his statements on several occasions, said Badal and Kangar, referring to the party’s rejection of Mann’s statement projecting Arvind Kejriwal as AAP’s chief ministerial face.“What can you expect from a man who has not spared even a somber occasion like a funeral from his drunkard ranting and despicable behaviour under the influence of alcohol,” asked the PPCC leaders, recalling the AAP leader’s misbehaviour at the funeral of singer Manmeet Alisher, who was tragically burnt to death in Australia last year.Never seen sober, Mann has become the butt of ridicule within his own party, as well as the public at large, said the PPCC leaders, pointing out that the AAP leader’s alcoholic misdemeanors had even led to complaints from his colleagues in Parliament, besides landing him in trouble with the media on several occasions.
