Er. Rasheed expelled from Assembly

AIP Supremo and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed has today accused NC and PDP of working as extension wings of New Delhi and said that they are working like extension wings of intelligence agencies.Today before being expelled from the house Er. Rasheed cornered Govt. yet again for not releasing the prisoners including Juvenile Sahil Ahmad Sheikh, Masrat Alam, Wali Mohammad Shah, Sarjan Barkati, Molvi Ab. Qayoom and others. As soon as the house began, Er. Rasheed raised the issue of detunes and wanted to know that why is Govt. reluctant to release the juvenile detain in Kot Bilwal Jail.He constantly protested over slapping PSA on 86 year old Huriyat Leader Wali Mohammad Shah of Seelo Sopore. When Govt. failed to respond Er. Rasheed entered well of the house and lashed out at Mehbooba Mufti who was present there and accused her of acting against interests of people of Kashmir. Er. Rasheed reminded Mehbooba Mufti of her promises and also lashed at Omer Abdullah for keeping mum over real issues. Er. Rasheed accused NC and PDP of following dictates of New Delhi. He asked Omer Abdullah and other NC MLA’s that what changed within eight days that forced NC to keep criminal silence over atrocities on people in Kashmir. However speaker assured Er. Rasheed that Govt. will come out with the reply at 12:00 noon.
When Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ab. Rehman Veery gave the statement Er. Rasheed termed it misleading and distortion of facts. Mr. Veery read that Sahil Ahmad sheikh was not the Juvenile and added that his age is 22 years but contradicted in the same statement by putting his age between 22 to 25 years. As per the statement the information was provided by District Magistrate Srinagar. Er. Rasheed confronted and asked Minister that rather asking Deputy Commissioners and Police Officials Govt. should have checked his school records or carried out medical examination and reiterated that Sahil was a Juvenile. Er. Rasheed amid heated arguments with NC, PDP and other members accused them of working like extension wings of New Delhi and murdering the sentiments of people. He reminded the house that should they dare to have a debate on anniversary of Gaw Kadal massacre and asked that if the house truly represents aspirations of people it must answer did the executors of Gaw Kadal massacre perished in air. He while being marshalled out from his chair, asked Omer Abdullah of following tradition politics of his Father and Grand Father of changing colours and diluting sentiments of Kashmir. Deputy Speaker announced expulsion of Er. Rasheed for two days. However while talking to Media persons outside Assembly Er. Rasheed said that even if he is debarred from entering the house whole life or banned to contest elections he will still speak the truth and fight for right to self determination.(GNS)
