Horticulture deptt organizes awareness programme under ATMA

The Department of Horticulture today organized one day training programme under Sub-Mission of Agriculture Extension (SAME) scheme at Jandore.The farmers were imparted training on propagation techniques of Horticultural crops, scientific orchard management and canopy management. District Level Subject Matter Specialist (Pomology)  Jyoti Parshad, Horticulture Development Officer, Barnoti  Sandeep Gupta besides others were present on the occasion.Mr  Parshad while interacting with the trainees educated them about the various scientific techniques presently used for the propagation of fruit plants with special emphasis on sub-tropical fruit plants like Mango, Citrus, Guava and litchi. Practical field demonstration was also given to the trainees in propagation techniques like Vinear Grafting in Mango, Air Layering in litchi and Citrus.Horticulture Development Officer, Barnoti, Sandeep Gupta while interacting with the farmers/fruit growers briefed them about different schemes/programmes of the department.
