Punjab ETT Adhayapak Union delegation meets Capt Amarinder Singh

A delegation of the ETT Adhayapak Union, Punjab, on Friday called upon Captain Amarinder Singh to complain about the Akali government's total apathy towards their long-pending demands and requested him to address their problems once he forms the government in the state, while extending their support to the Congress in the assembly elections.The delegation, led by the union state president Jaswinder Sidhu, requested the PPCC president to look into their demands on priority basis once the Congress comes to power in Punjab after the assembly polls.The ETT teachers are demanding implementation of the old pension scheme covering employees who had retired before 2004. Sidhu further said the teachers who had been merged from the Zila Parishad into the Education Department be given their seniority with effect from 2006.Captain Amarinder assured the delegation that their demands would be looked into once the Congress government takes over  in Punjab.
