Dr. Nirmal Singh flags off educational tour

Asks students to learn cultural, ethnic values of other cities

Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today flagged off an educational tour being organized by Border Security Force (BSF) for the students of border areas of Jammu.While addressing the students, the Deputy CM asked them to make optimum use of this opportunity and learn as much as they can. He urged them to observe the culture, ethnicity and historical values of different cities carefully besides spreading message of peace and harmony across the country.Dr Singh further said it is essential for these young minds to get an exposure of new places so that they can use these experiences to become leaders of change in future.Lauding the role of BSF for organizing the tour, Dr Singh said the security forces not only protect this country from external threats but also work for strengthening the institutional systems of the nation.During the ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour, the students hailing from Rajouri, Sunderbani, Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Ramban will get an opportunity to visit historical places in Delhi, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Amritsar. The students will also get an opportunity to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Ministers and Governors of West Bengal and Karnataka, besides meeting DG, BSF, KK Sharmaand becoming a witness to the Republic Day Parade at New Delhi.IG, BSF Jammu Ram Awtar, DIG (G), BSF Dharmendra Pareek and other senior officers of BSF were present on the occasion.
