APP accuses Congress for trying to save Badals from humiliating defeat, Capt Amarinder can’t change destiny of Badals, will also lose Patiala seat : Bhagwant Mann

Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today accused Congress party for helping Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal to escape humiliating defeat in Lambi and Jalalabad respectively by dividing the anti-incumbency votes .AAP campaign committee chairman Bhagwant Mann in a statement alleged that both SAD and Congress were aware that AAP was going to sweep in Punjab and both Badals and Captain Amarinder Singh are losing their seats with huge margins. He said that Badal and Captain are two side of same coin and their families always look after each other’s political interests. The Congress party decision to field Capt Amarinder Singh against Badals and Ravnit Bittu against Sukhbir Badal was meant to create a false hype and save Badals.Mann said that despite Congress and SAD conspiracy to save senior leaders of each other party , both Badals and Capt Amarinder Singh would be defeated by the awakened voters of two constituencies. He said that SAD has intentionally put a weak candidate, former army General JJ Singh, against Capt Amarinder Singh in Patiala.
Mann said that if Capt Amarinder was so sure and serious to contest against Badal, he should contest only from Lambi and not from Patiala. Choosing two seats reflects insecurity and uncertainty in the mind of Capt Amarinder Singh. However AAP will ensure that Capt Amarinder Singh face the same fate that of Badals. “Capt Amarinder Singh can’t change the destiny of Badal who have looted people of Punjab for 10 years and now finding shelter behind Congress party”, Mann quipped.On Bittu, he said that he wish him good luck and he should understand that fielding him (Bittu) from Jalalabad may be conspiracy of Capt Amarinder Singh to finish the political legacy of late Beant Singh.Mann said that people of Punjab had taken the decision to kick out Badal family from government and any attempt by Capt Amarinder Singh to save two SAD leaders would be breach of trust of people of Punjab and a setback for democracy in the state.
AAP leader also accused former BJP MP Navjot Sidhu for playing in the hands of anti-Punjab powers. He said that Sidhu had many times accused Congress party for 1984 anti-Sikh riots and for the emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi.
He had called Congress ‘Munni Badnam’ and Rahul Gandhi ‘Pappu’ who is mentally handicapped.Mann said that Sidhu had no ideology and no sincerity for Punjab. He is as wicked as Sukhbir Badal. Mann said Sidhu had demanded Chief Minister’s post from AAP and now he should reveal the deal struck with Congress party. He said that if Congress was thinking Sidhu would save their sinking ship, it would be biggest foolishness and proves that Congress has no idea of ground realities in Punjab.Mann said that Sidhu’s belated entry into Congress would not dent the spirit of people of Punjab and curtain would fall for Congress and SAD-BJP alliance on February 4. He called on people of Punjab to defeat the sinister designs of two feudal families who wanted to rule Punjab turn by turn. “AAP will make a clean sweep in Punjab and form the next government”, Mann asserted.
