DC Anantnag reviews post snowfall situation

To ensure supply of basic amenities to the public in light of the fresh snowfall, the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today reviewed the snow clearance measures, stock of essentials, supply of drinking water, power and medicines.The DC visited Anantnag town and inspected the ongoing snow clearance measures. He directed the Exen Mechanical Engineering and PMGSY and R&B engineers to fully gear up the men and machinery to clear all roads till evening.With respect to power scenario in the district, the DC was informed that 90 percent power supply has been restored while as the rest will be restored by tomorrow.Later, the DC visited Maternity and Childcare Hospital and MMAB district hospital Anantnag. He inspected different wards and interacted with the patients, attendants and hospital administration. He directed for ensuing heating arrangements, free medicines and other facilities in the hospital so that patients do not face any problem.The DC directed the MC Anantnag to clear the compound of the hospitals so that free movement of the patients, attendants and staff is ensured.DC also visited Ziyarat-i-Reshi Saheb and General Bus Stand and directed the concerned EO to ensure snow clearance in and around these places.Various deputations also met the DC and apprised him about the problems confronting them.
